The ESP8266 ESP-01S is a Wi-Fi module that allows microcontrollers access to a Wi-Fi network. This module is a self-contained SOC (System On a Chip) so you don’t need a microcontroller to manipulate its inputs and outputs as you would normally do with for example, an Arduino, because the ESP-01S acts as a small computer.
